BIRTHFIT is a worldwide movement of women and men, coaches and athletes, practitioners, chiropractors, teachers, movers and shakers who are changing the game in the world of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

  • BIRTHFIT is a movement. It’s about expecting and postpartum moms taking charge of their bodies and their decisions, and supporting one another’s journeys—together and apart.

  • BIRTHFIT is an approach to birth. We challenge the status quo and ask the questions no one else asks. We read, research, experiment & consolidate all the common sense, time-honored wisdom & recent studies we can find and present that information to you through various education models. Our pillars are fitness, nutrition, chiropractic & mindset. We unconditionally support YOU—the birth mom & birth partner—to make the best decision for you and Baby.

  • BIRTHFIT is a state of readiness. Childbirth is perhaps the most physical, mental & spiritual experience of a woman’s life. We want you to be ready in body, mind & spirit for the experience of birth and the lifelong journey that follows.

  • BIRTHFIT is your support team. We are a team of practitioners, educators, chiropractors, coaches, nutritionists, fellow mamas, men & women who are involved in our local communities and we are all rooting for YOU.

The Four Pillars of BIRTHFIT


To functionally train throughout the Motherhood Transition in all planes of motion to develop competencies and physical skills as well as enhance the main metabolic pathways.


To create a relationship with food that is rich in color and nutrients from a wide variety of animals, fish, plants, fruits, fats, and starchy tubers, while nourishing the body through the different rhythms of life and the female cycle.



To create space between a stimulus and a response, to embrace a growth perspective, and create action around values in order to make decisions from a place of love rather than fear.


To open pathways from the cellular to the metaphysical level wherein a human can experience and express optimal health in body, mind, and soul.

Dr. Silver is Webster-Certified Chiropractor, a doula, yogi and most of all- a supporter of women. She has always been drawn to the Motherhood Transition and supports women with hands on Chiropractic care to make sure that with all of the physical and physiological changes that occur during pregnancy, the body is strong, supple and balanced. She knows that this will result in a healthier pregnancy, smoother labor and delivery (aka a better transition for baby in to this world) and will set the stage for a quicker recovery for mom.

Dr. Kristyn Silver herself is the embodiment of a BIRTHFIT baby….before there was even a name for it. Her dad was a Chiropractor and her mom was into fitness and health, and they were both very progressive in their mindset. They lived by the 4 Pillars: Fitness, Nutrition, Chiropractic and Mindset. Dr. Silver’s mom was able to deliver 4 kids naturally at home (the biggest one close to 11 lbs). This 4-Pillar formula’s success in allowing her mother to have her dream birth (even though that isn’t everyone’s) made Dr. Silver want to share that there are options- and for them to feel confident in whatever choices they make. She is here to optimize your pregnancy experience.

Emily has been in the fitness world for 6 years with a background in D1 athletics and a lifetime of sport. Along with sport, she has had a love and passion for pregnancy, birth, and babies. These two fell beautifully hand in hand when she found BIRTHFIT back in 2011. From then she began learning the specifics that go into prenatal and postpartum training and hasn’t looked back! Through this process she completed the DONA Birth Doula Certification at Binibirth and has attended 6 births. Through fitness, nutrition, chiropractic, and mindset practices, Emily not only fulfills her life through BIRTHFIT but most importantly shares this growing community with the women around her.
